How to Apply the Dexcom One Sensor

1.  Step 1: Prepare Your Skin: Choose a clean, flat area of skin, typically on your abdomen or upper arm. Wash the area with soap and water, dry thoroughly, and clean with an alcohol wipe to ensure optimal adhesion.
2.  Step 2: Prepare the Sensor: Remove the sensor applicator from the package. Make sure the sensor and applicator are securely in place. Remove the protective cap from the sensor.
3.  Step 3: Apply the Sensor: Place the sensor applicator on the prepared area and apply it firmly. You should hear a click, indicating the sensor is properly inserted. Remove the applicator and gently press down on the sensor to ensure it’s securely attached.
4.  Step 4: Start the Sensor: Use the Dexcom One app on your smartphone or the Dexcom One receiver to activate the sensor. It takes about two hours for the sensor to calibrate and start providing accurate glucose readings.
